Local Attractions

Regardless of what your interests are, we’re sure northcentral Pennsylvania will have something for you. Here are a few of our suggestions for things to do while you and your loved ones are in the area.

Conquer the Creek

Our barn is located on a farm beside Loyalsock Creek, which gives us the opportunity to offer our late spring and summer guests a little extra adventure. Conquer the Loyalsock Creek by raft, canoe or kayak. We can make arrangements to drop you off at Pier 87, one of our favorite nearby restaurants. You can have lunch (and a beverage or two), and then get on your way down the creek. Once you get to our property, we’ll make arrangements pick you up.

Explore the Countryside

Less than 10 miles from our doorstep is one of Pennsylvania’s treasures, Rider Park. With 867 acres of land available to the public 365 days per year, the opportunities are endless. Hiking, trail running, mountain biking and cross country skiing are just a few of the activities we love to do at Rider Park. Even if you aren’t an outdoor person, take the easy hike to one of the scenic vistas. The views are breathtaking. Pine Creek's Rails to Trails biking trail, named one of the top 10 by USA Today, is less than an hour away.  Check out the visitors bureau here

Taste the Cuisine

Williamsport is home to many great family-owned non-chain restaurants. Check out TripAdvisor or Yelp for a list, or we are happy to point you in the right direction!

Catch a Game

If you’ve heard of Williamsport, Pa., chances are it’s because of the Little League World Series. We are the birthplace of Little League. Just a few miles from our barn you can visit the Howard J. Lamade Stadium you see on ESPN every summer, and the Peter J. McGovern Museum & Official Store. We’re also home to the Williamsport Crosscutters, a Class A Short Season Phillies Affiliate. If you have time, catch a game!

Take it Easy

Relax by booking a massage or other spa service at the Flatiron Salon. Or, if yoga is what you prefer, drop in on a yoga class at Trudy’s Barefoot Yoga Studio, right in Montoursville.
